Google has just announced that it's saying goodbye to its smart messaging app Allo. Google already revealed its plans of shutting down the app since December 2018. An official notice had been put up on Allo's official website, detailing the company's plans. In the statement, Google mentioned that it would stop supporting Allo and put their focus into Messages, a messaging app for Android phones. Along with that, Google will also continue to improve on its other communication apps, namely Duo, a video calling app, Hangouts Chat, and Hangouts Meet. Allo officially closes down on March 12, 2019. Google has released their new application called Duo which is a 1-to-1 video calling app made for Android and iOS. Google Duo features a simple interface and only requires a phone number and it will allow you to reach people in your phone's contacts list, granted they have the app installed as well.
