The Philippine Google Play Store has been on a limited offering for quite some time, mostly listing apps and books. Just recently though, the Play Store have started listing Movies available for Philippine users. Sony has announced that it will gradually shut down the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) and PlayStation Vita (PS Vita). Sony has announced in their blog post that they are shutting down the PlayStation Store for the PS Vita and PS3. The rollout will begin in August 2026 when the PS3 PlayStation Store closes in Mexico, Honduras, and Nicaragua. In all remaining countries, the PlayStation Store for both the PS3 and PS Vita will close in July 2027. Once the store closes, players will no longer be able to buy games, DLCs or other digital content on these devices. According to Sony, the closure is necessary due to the PS3 and PS Vita platforms can no longer support the modern payment processing and commerce systems used by the PlayStation Store.
