Google's Play Store new Data safety section will allow users to see what data Android Apps will collect. Google says active users of the Gemini app in Southeast Asia more than doubled over the past year. Google counts 900 million monthly active users worldwide. It is out now in English for Google AI Ultra subscribers, with local Southeast Asian languages rolling out to Ultra users this week. Users are encouraged to download Google Messages from the Play Store and install the program on their smartphones. A pop-up window should appear soon after, wherein users are instructed to set Google Messages as their default SMS app. Next, users on older versions such as Android 12 or 13 need to add Google Messages to their home screens manually.
