Google verified checkmarks are in development for their search engine. However, it's still under testing with only a limited number of Google users able to see the feature. For example, influencers and personalities may not get verified when searched online. Again, Google isn’t a social media platform, but we’re sure that the company is working on a more comprehensive fix. Objectively, this feature would be great for e-commerce sites if Google could somehow use numbers to verify proper links. Sadly, Google has only stated that the platform can’t guarantee the reliability of a business or its products for now. This is a developing story, so we’ll keep readers posted on the development of Google verified checkmarks. There was some sort of mass panic last night when Google was spewing a warning "this site may harm your computer" on all their search results.
