GoPro has announced a new lineup called the MISSION 1 Series, introducing compact cinema cameras that support 8K and 4K Open Gate video. The new cameras were revealed ahead of the NAB trade show on April 19–22 and are designed for filmmakers, creators, and users who want higher-quality video in a small and durable device. The cameras can record up to 8K video and support Open Gate format, which captures more of the image for flexible editing. GoPro said the new series aims to combine the strength of action cameras with tools usually found in cinema cameras. GoPro has officially launched the MISSION 1 PRO in the Philippines. The camera features a 1-inch image sensor paired with the GP3 processor, enabling video recording of up to 8K at 60fps and 4K at 240fps. The camera also offers Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, dual displays, and waterproofing up to 20 meters. The GoPro MISSION 1 PRO is now available for pre-orders in the Philippines for PHP 50,990.
