Corning Incorporated has announced its latest Gorilla Glass Victus, which significantly improves drop and scratch performance. Based on their lab tests, the Gorilla Glass Victus was able to survive drops from up to 2 meters onto hard, rough surfaces. It also showed a 2x improvement in scratch resistance compared to the Corning Gorilla Glass 6. "Instead of our historic approach of asking our technologists to focus on a single goal – making the glass better for either drop or scratch – we asked them to focus on improving both drop and scratch, and they delivered with Gorilla Glass Victus." Samsung will be the first company to adopt the Gorilla Glass Victus.
