GoTyme Bank has partnered with Visa for the FIFA World Cup 2026, bringing exclusive promos and experiences for Filipino fans. The collaboration allows GoTyme Bank customers to get a chance to watch the World Cup live, with raffle entries tied to spending using their GoTyme Visa Debit Cards. As part of the campaign, GoTyme is also rolling out limited-edition Visa debit cards featuring World Cup-themed designs, including Pitch Black and Trophy Gold variants. GoTyme Bank is now the most-used Visa debit card in the Philippines. This growth happened because the bank makes it easy for people to get a card quickly at kiosks and use modern features like Google Wallet and "tap-to-pay." Visa recognized GoTyme for having the fastest growth in active cards and touch-free transactions. Several companies, including GCash, Visa, and Mastercard, have shown interest in the Philippine government’s plan to create a single fare payment system for trains and other transport. Aside from GCash, Visa, and Mastercard, other companies like Siemens Mobility, Hitachi Asia, LG CNS, and Cubic Transportation Systems also joined a market study held in Singapore. Visa and GoTyme Bank have entered a multi-year partnership aimed at accelerating the adoption of digital payments in the Philippines, South Africa, and future Southeast Asian markets.
