In a statement, Berberabe said that Pag-IBIG Fund will be able to finance the purchase and installation of solar panels through the agency’s Home Improvement Loan which, at the present, requires the mortgage of the house. The payment for the loan may be amortized for up to 25 years, depending on the member’s discretion and ability to pay. This is the reason why Globe Telecoms, in partnership with its sister company Touch Mobile (TM) launched a new initiative that will limit, if not eliminate these situation, by allowing prepaid patrons to loan a load denominations and/or subscription to prepaid promos/services. Unlike the Ayala-owned telco’s current Emergency SMS Service offer, however, the Promo and Load Loan initiative allows prepaid subscribers to borrow load denominations (up to Php20) or choose from a variety of available prepaid services/promos that they wish to loan.
