Those games never appealed to me for some reason, but I decided to give it a try anyway; that's when Blizzard invited me to play technical alpha to their upcoming game Heroes of the Storm. They've given players a chance to try out all the heroes and their differentiated skills and abilities, and so far, they're all really fun to play with. Heroes are assigned labels for their specialization and difficulty of use to guide players, and I think that's a nice touch. For the most part, I think it is as simple as that; it's the simplicity that differentiates Heroes of The Storm from League of Legends, DoTA or mostly any other MOBA game. Heroes of The Storm is ultimately a MOBA for those who don't play MOBAs, and we have yet to see how the final version will be when it comes out soon. Blizzard has recently announced that Heroes of the Storm, a multiplayer online battle arena or as the company dubs as “Hero Brawler” that was launched last year, will be on open beta starting on May 20 (May 19 in the US) in line with its impending launch slated in June. According to the game developer, the game will launch with “30 playable Heroes, over 130 Skins, 14 steadfast mounts, and 7 dynamic Battlegrounds.” If you haven’t played the game yet because of the lack of invite, but you’re interested about it, you can check out our short introduction of the game in our previous post.
