Parañaque, Philippines – Honda Philippines has recently announced the arrival of the ninth iteration of their popular four-door Sedan, the Honda Accord 2014. Instead of three, the new mid-sized sedan will only be available locally in two models; the Honda Accord 2.4 S (5-speed) which has a 2.4-liter, 16-valve DOHC four-cylinder engine and the Honda Accord 3.5 SV (6-speed) which runs on 3.5-liter, 24-valve SOHC V6 engine. The new Honda Accord sport an elegantly-crafted exterior that’s aerodynamically designed to reduce drag which further lessens the car’s fuel consumption. As you would expect from a family car, the Honda Accord’s interior is roomy. The new Honda Accord will be available in four colors (Modern Steel Metallic, White Orchid Pearl (additional Php20,000), Crystal Black Pearl and Carnelian Red Pearl) plus Alabaster Silver Metallic which is only limited to the 2.4 S model. The Honda Accord 3.5 SV (6-speed A/T with Paddle Shifters) costs Php2,097,000 while the 2.4 S (5-speed A/T with Paddle Shifters) retails for Php1,720,000. Honda Phils lent me one of their Honda Accord to test out and told me I can take it out of town, we headed out to see how fast it can go on the highway and quickly drove it up north.
