Honor has officially started rolling out the MagicOS 9.0 beta update for select devices, bringing Android 15-based features and improvements. The beta program kicked off in late October, and today, some users with specific flagship models, including the Magic 6 series, Magic 5 series, and the Magic V3, Vs3, and V2 foldable models, are receiving the first version of MagicOS 9.0, tagged as version 9.0.0.116. Honor makes a huge splash at MWC 2023 in Barcelona by announcing the brand's first foldable smartphone, the Honor Magic Vs. It weighs in at just 276g with a 12.9mm thickness with a 5000mAh battery with 66W Honor SuperCharge. Honor also claims that the hinge can withstand up to 400,000 folds or the equivalent of 10 years of usage which translates to about 100 folds per day. The Magic Vs showcases a 7.9" inner 90Hz OLED display with 2,272 x 1,984 pixels of resolution, HDR10+ support, and up to 800 nits of brightness. As far as cameras go, the Honor Magic Vs possesses a 54MP Sony IMX800 main camera, a 50MP ultrawide and Macro camera, and an 8MP telephoto snapper with 3x optical zoom. The Honor Magic Vs will retail for €1599 or PHP 93,790 and is available in Cyan, Black or Orange colors.
