I brought my SmartBro Share-It while TJ has this Huawei E5/E5830 with him. The scoop actually, as TJ revealed in the show, is that Globe will be offering the Huawei E5830 on a postpaid plan soon. Huawei E5/E5830 Wi-Fi 802.11b/g WAPI HSUPA/HSDPA/UMTS 2100 MHz EDGE/GPRS/GSM 1900/1800/900/850 MHz 32GB via microSD card The device lasts about 4 hours on a single full charge. This could be offered under a Globe Tattoo Plan 999 of some sort (just like the iPad WiFi + 3G Plan) and will have a one-time fee of Php7,500 for the Huawei E5/E5830 (TJ tells me it could be in staggered payments). Huawei makes some of the most interesting little gadgets around and when I visited their booth at CommunicAsia yesterday, they've got a dozens of Pocket WiFi and USB sticks for all sorts of cellular network on display. The one above is the Huawei WiFi E589 which supports LTE, 3G and 2G connections with speeds up to 50Mbps. This one is the Huawei E398 which is an LTE USB dongle, similar to the one being used by Smart LTE Evolution. The Huawei E365 is an HSPA+ modem, perfect for use with Globe's HSPA+ network (Tonino Lamborgihini 10Mbps) and supports up to 21Mbps downlink speed.
