Huawei has introduced a new Service Upgrade Program in the Philippines, offering premium after-sales care for devices at no extra cost. The company says the Service Upgrade Program aims to provide year-round, unlimited free support with no hidden costs, helping devices stay reliable and secure for longer use. Pasig Mega Market now has satellite-powered internet to support cashless payments under the Paleng-QR Ph Plus program of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the Department of Information and Communications Technology. The initiative supports the government’s goal of expanding digital financial services and building a more cash-lite economy in public markets and small businesses. The Philippines and the European Union (EU) are working together to improve digital connectivity, strengthen cybersecurity, and expand access to satellite data under a new initiative aimed at supporting economic growth and disaster resilience. The program supports the country's goal of becoming a regional digital hub while also aligning with the Marcos administration's push for digital transformation. Government agencies can use the information to support disaster risk reduction and other public services. According to PhilSA, the initiative is expected to help improve public services and support better decision-making for communities across the country.
