So they announced the world’s first 5.5-inch IGZO display for mobile phones with a whopping 3840 x 2160 screen resolution. But until such time that 4K contents become more mainstream and VR technology gained enough traction in the consumer market, Sharp’s newly-announced 4K LTPS IGZO display will, in our opinion, just be another impractical addition to the flagship smartphone of the near future. Sharp stated that the 5.5-inch IGZO display panel will enter mass production in 2016.
