Infineon Technologies AG has announced that it is taking security to the next level with the new OPTIGA TPM (Trusted Platform Module) SLB 9672, a future-proof security solution with post-quantum cryptography (PQC) protected firmware update mechanism using XMSS signatures. Infineon said that the technology can address the challenges of the impact of quantum computing in cybersecurity, specifically on the confidentiality of encrypted data and the integrity of digital signatures.
