ING Philippines which is shutting down their retail operation in the Philippines has informed users that their services will be discontinued soon. According to a message by the company, ING Philippines’ services will only be available until August 31, 2022, and will automatically discontinue by September 1, 2022. Another important reminder as the company exits is that ING will never ask users for their account info or ask users to click on links set by the company. ING has announced that it has decided to exit the retail banking market in the Philippines before the end of 2022 but will continue its Wholesale Banking business and global shared services operations in the country. ING Philippines debuted in the country in 2019, calling itself the first fully digital retail bank in the Philippines. The rollout starts today in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, and South Africa, with more regions to follow in the coming months.
