iOS 9 is scheduled to arrive next week but Apple is already preparing an update with the release of iOS 9.1 Public Beta. The first Beta of iOS 9.1 comes with new emoji characters, APIS for 3D Touch and Live Photos, and features for the iPad Pro including support for Smart Keyboard and Pencil. To get iOS 9.1 Public Beta you will need to sign up for Apple's Beta Software Program and enroll your device. Apple has released the first public beta versions of its upcoming software updates, allowing users to try iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, and watchOS 27 ahead of their official release later this year. Apple has released the second developer beta of iOS 27. It brings several new features and refinements ahead of the public beta launch in July and the official release later this year. Apple dropped iOS 27 beta 1 right after the WWDC 2026 keynote, and yes, the new Siri AI is in there. Public beta is expected to follow in the coming weeks, with a full release likely in September 2026.
