X, formerly Twitter, has launched its new standalone XChat app on iOS. The XChat app introduces end-to-end encrypted messaging. X is set to launch its standalone messaging app called XChat for iPhone and iPad on April 17, based on its listing on the App Store. The company said the app is designed to give users a more direct and private messaging experience. Apple has released the first public beta versions of its upcoming software updates, allowing users to try iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27 Golden Gate, and watchOS 27 ahead of their official release later this year. Apple has released the second developer beta of iOS 27. Apple says AirPort Utility will no longer be available for new downloads on iOS 27 and existing users may experience compatibility issues with the app. Moreover, the company also revealed that both iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in Purple ship with the latest iOS 14.5, which features the ability to unlock iPhone with Apple Watch while wearing a face mask, an enhanced Apple Podcasts app with a redesigned show and episode pages, and a Search tab, as well as new emoji.
