Apple Intelligence has been included in the first developer beta release of iOS 18.1. It’s slated to arrive via a software update in October, hence its inclusion in iOS 18.1, not iOS 18. But until then, developers should enjoy using its features in the betas for iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1. At the Apple Worldwide-developers conference 2019 in San Jose, California, the company has announced numerous upgrades and updates including the new iPadOS that replaces the iOS. Replacing the iOS, the new iPadOS aims to bring more capabilities and features to the iPad. Apple recently announced its latest version of the iOS, the iOS 14, along with the iPadOS 14, at the WWDC 2020. Among the new features in the iPadOS 14 are: • Conversion of written notes to text • Incoming FaceTime and phone calls now appear as a lightweight banner that allows users to either answer or flick to ignore. Just like in iOS 14, the iPadOS 14 also requires apps to ask for user permission before collecting information, transparent use of apps of the microphone and camera, and limiting location permission.
