vivo has revised its update policy for the iQOO 12: it now has an additional one year of software support. A tweet from iQOO India says that this will ensure “Your device stays up-to-date and secure till 2028.” This change levels the iQOO 12 with the new iQOO 13 in which vivo also promised the same number of OS updates and security patches. The iQOO 12 originally launched in 2023 running Android 14 with Funtouch OS 14 skin on top. There is a Pro variant of the iQOO 12 but vivo hasn’t mentioned any extended support for it as of writing. iQOO has officially announced the iQOO 12 which is the first smartphone that uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The iQOO 12 sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with up to 144Hz refresh rate. It features a triple-rear camera consisting of a 64MP periscope telephoto, 50MP wide, and a 50MP 1/1.3-inch sensor. The iQOO 12 is priced at INR 52,999 for the 12GB+256GB version while the 16GB+512GB variant has a price tag of INR 57,999.
