LG Electronics has revealed that the update to Android 5.0 Lollipop will start rolling out this week to their flagship handset, the LG G3. We'll post an update once the Lollipop update lands on Philippine handsets. Last month, Sony announced that its entire Xperia Z series of devices will be upgraded to Android 5.0 Lollipop. And since Google has released the source code for Lollipop, the company decided to install it on their flagship smartphones - the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z2, and Xperia Z1. Sony used the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) version of Android 5.0 Lollipop so Sony's own UI and software features are not implemented yet. When Android Lollipop was first announced to the public, there was no time frame given for its availability. According to the new Android SDK announcements,  developers are now encouraged to test and update their apps in accordance to the new Material Design guidelines and the Android Lollipop framework before the internet search giant releases the new software on the said date.
