When Logitech signed up to be an advertiser on this blog, I was curious what they'd be launching in the Philippines. I had a hunch it would be some sort of speakers so when the banner ads came out and said they're 360-degree speakers, I checked out the stores for them. There were two models -- the Logitech Z523 and the Z323 are basically multimedia speakers made to pair with home PC or laptops. Only difference with this one is that the speakers are omnidirectional (there's the usual one in the front and another one at the back). Had to go and visit the Logitech Concept Store in Megamall to buy the Z523. The box has a pair of sleek speakers with a 6.5-inch down-firing sub-woofer. Each of the satellite speakers are rated at 40 watts (rms) while the Z323 is only 30 watts. Since they have omnidirectional acoustics, you get almost the same volume when you place the speakers in the middle of the room.
