Trains that will be used for the LRT-1 Cavite extension is set to arrive in July from Spain. The Department of Transportation (DOTR) has recently announced the arrival of the first batch of trains allocated for the LRT-1 Cavite Extension. LRT-1 private operator Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) has announced that the LRT-1 Cavite Extension Phase 1 viaduct is now complete. Phase 1 of the 11.7km LRT-1 Cavite Extension project covers a total of five (5) stations: Dr. Once completed, the LRT-1 Cavite Extension project is expected to benefit the residents in Southern Metro Manila, the province of Cavite, and nearby areas. “LRMC is glad to welcome 2022 with this LRT-1 Cavite Extension accomplishment. [caption id="attachment_290854" align="aligncenter" width="1000"] Photo credits: LRMC[/caption] According to LRMC, a total of 30 train sets or 120 LRVs from Spain and Mexico are scheduled for delivery until June 2022, which will be used for the existing system and Cavite Extension project of the Light Rail Transit Line (LRT-1).
