Trains that will be used for the LRT-1 Cavite extension is set to arrive in July from Spain. In a report by BusinessWorld, four light rail vehicles of the LRT-1 will be delivered by Mitsubishi Corp. The extension will add an 11.7 km segment consisting of eight stations that will connect Baclaran, Pasay, and Bacoor, Cavite. Santos Avenue in Parañaque City will start operating in Q4 2021, while the remaining stations between Las Piñas and Niog in Bacoor, Cavite will be completed in 2022. After the long delay, residents of southern Metro Manila and Bacoor, Cavite can finally look forward to the extension of the country's oldest LRT system. The 11.7km extension will extend the operations of Line 1 from Baclaran in Parañaque, passing by Las Piñas, and all the way to Niog, Bacoor City in the province of Cavite. New stations to be built are Aseana, MIA, Asiaworld, Ninoy Aquino, and Dr Santos in Parañaque City; Las Piñas and Zapote in Las Piñas City; and Niog station in Bacoor, Cavite.
