The dispute began after DJI filed two patent lawsuits against Insta360 in the United States, alleging that the company's Luna camera lineup infringes on several DJI patents. The lawsuits were filed on the same day Insta360 launched the new Luna Ultra in the US market. According to DJI, Insta360's Luna series copies key aspects of the Osmo Pocket lineup, including design elements and technologies related to gimbal stabilization, tracking, and camera operation. DJI is seeking a permanent injunction that would block the sale of Insta360's Luna cameras in the United States, along with monetary damages. Insta360 has officially launched the Luna Ultra and Luna Pro, its latest AI-powered gimbal cameras designed for content creators. The Luna Ultra adds a telephoto lens with up to 12x zoom and 6x lossless zoom, while the Luna Pro uses a single wide-angle lens. In the Philippines, the Insta360 Luna Ultra is priced at PHP 46,790 for the Standard Bundle and PHP 59,490 for the Creator Bundle, while the Insta360 Luna Pro retails for PHP 39,990. MCHOSE claims an ultra-low latency of 0.06ms, a 16,000Hz polling rate, and a 256K scan rate.
