LD Systems recently released the Maui 5 in the Philippines and we took it out for a spin. The Maui 5 is a portable column speaker PA system which come with a four-channel mixer and Bluetooth connectivity. If you're not familiar with these types of speakers, the Maui 5 is ideal for PA-type scenarios where you need a mix of music playback, instrument input for the likes of a guitar or keyboard and microphone. The Maui 5 comes with a 4-piece system -- the basement where the subwoofer is housed, a single mids that plugs on top of the basement, and two spacers that allows you to adjust the height of the speaker to your liking. The Maui 5 is a powerful speaker system with a 200watt (rsm) power output and 800watt peak output.
