MediaTek has launched a new chipset aimed for mainstream smartphone gamers, the Helio G70. The MediaTek Helio G70 sits below the Helio G90 and is a 12nm SoC that is equipped with an ARM Cortex-A75 and -A55 CPUs with large L3 cache, ARM Mali G52-class GPU and LPDDR4X memory controller. Devices to sport the new Helio G70 are yet to be announced. MediaTek has just announced the world's first octa-core SOC for smartphones that supports 4G LTE connectivity and powered by the latest Cortex-A17 CPUs from ARM - the MT6595. The MediaTek MT6595 is the company's premium mobile solution for smartphones which utilizes four ARM Cortex-A17 plus four Cortex-A7 CPUs, ARM big.LITTLE architecture, and a PowerVR Series6 GPU. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 chipset and runs MagicOS 10 based on Android 16.
