MediaTek has just unveiled its newest AI IoT chipset, the i700. The i700 can run on Android and features an eight-core architecture composed of two Arm Cortex-A75 processors operating up to 2.2 GHz and six Cortex-A55 processors operating up to 2.0 GHz. It incorporates the MediaTek APU 2.0, featuring a dual-core AI processor, AI accelerator, and AI face detection engine. MediaTek noted that the chipset can support 32MP cameras, or a combination of cameras up to 24MP + 16MP. Mediatek will be unveiling two chipsets, namely, the Helio P23 and the Helio P30 at Beijing, China on August 29. MediaTek has just announced the world's first octa-core SOC for smartphones that supports 4G LTE connectivity and powered by the latest Cortex-A17 CPUs from ARM - the MT6595.
