Microsoft is adopting Chromium in an effort to improve Microsoft Edge's compatibility with all websites while getting the best possible battery life and hardware integration on all kinds of Windows devices. In addition to the improvements, Microsoft Edge will also be delivered and updated for all supported versions of Windows as well as other platforms like macOS.
