We had a recent interview with Chris Weber, VP for Device Sales of Microsoft, regarding the new brand that the old Nokia will be using from here on -- Microsoft Lumia. Here's what he shared during the quick interview: He added that Microsoft's strategy on the Windows Phone platform can be considered as somewhere in between the iOS platform and Android, but more closely similar to Android. Microsoft has announced to completely remove the Adobe Flash component from Windows through the KB4577586 "Update for Removal of Adobe Flash Player" starting June 2021. In July 2017, Microsoft, along with Adobe and their industry technology partners, announced that Adobe Flash Player would no longer be supported after December 2020. Microsoft has announced that the support for Windows 7 will come to an end on January 14, 2020, after its first release in 2009. To know more, visit Microsoft's FAQ section here. The last quarter numbers from Microsoft are out and it's not looking very good. As such, Microsoft has announced it will lay off 5,000 workers in the next 18 months including the 1,800 it sent out the door earlier today.
