Perplexity has launched its AI browser, Comet, on Android devices, expanding its AI-powered search from desktop to mobile. The move allows Android users to experience AI-driven browsing, research, and shopping directly on their phones. Comet brings most desktop features to mobile, letting users set it as the default search engine, ask questions through tabs, and use voice commands to interact with the assistant. Everyone can interact with Comet in the same session, rename browsing sessions, manage tabs, and switch the active AI model anytime. Experts continue to raise questions about AI-assisted browsing security, and Perplexity has acknowledged potential risks and the need for stronger safeguards. We've got over a hundred submissions from our recent poll on mobile 3G services. Quite a number of users have already been using their new uMobile SIMs too (7.19%) while fledgling Sun Cellular 3G is still down there. Surprisingly, very few people are using PLDT WeRoam -- a service which has practically been supplanted by SmartBro Mobile 3G.
