Traffic enforcers will man bus lanes and MRT stations to check the ending number of mobile phones by commuters to enforce this. Numbeo, a crowdsourced global database and multinational research firm, has published its Traffic Index for Country 2015 which placed the Philippines among the top ten countries in the world with the worst traffic conditions. According to Numbeo's report, the Philippines has a Traffic Index of 202.31 which puts the country in 9th place worldwide. If you're one of the usual commuters who often ride the MRT or LRT, don't be surprised if you'll be paying for more than what you actually do. Meanwhile, the biggest price increase will be at the EDSA-situated MRT-3 line, and this will mean an additional one peso for the base fare and another additional peso for every succeeding kilometer.
