MSI's 12 inch Wind12 U210 netbook is the very first one in its category to sport a AMD Athlon Neo processor. The MSI Wind U210 is a pretty large netbook, weighing in at 1.45kg (3.19lbs) with the 6-cell battery while the 9-cell version that I bought is heavier at 1.6kg (3.52lbs). So far, the MSI Wind12 U210 is one of the most responsive and powerful unit in the netbook category I've ever reviewed. Earlier this month, we discovered the MSI Wind PC as the desktop version of the popular netbooks. The MSI Wind PC isn't really that small but for the retail price of Php14,995 I still find it a bit on the expensive side. I've got the chance to get fairly acquainted with the MSI Wind U100, one of the early competitors in the 10" range of the UMPC market. MSI did the right thing by skipping the 7-inch segment and went all-out with a 10-incher (there's an MSI Wind U90 at 8.9" but was never launched in the Philippines and the version I got was the MSI U100XP 10" running Windows XP). Likewise, the CPU core averages at 57 degrees Centigrade but because there was ample ventilation at the bottom and an exhaust fan blowing out from the left side, the MSI Wind does not heat up as much as the Asus Eee PC 701 running a Celeron M 900.
