When we visited the Pyung-Taek Factory the other day, we saw a number of laptops and netbooks made by LG and being sold in Korea. Been wondering why LG didn't brought these units to sell in the Philippines and now I think I know why. Basically, the reason I think these netbooks won't be released in the Philippines because they are just more expensive than usual. LG is known for a lot of electronic products in the Philippines but the laptop and netbook category is not yet one of them. So, introducing these models might be a little late in the game considering we have like over 2 dozen netbooks in the local market already. Looks like Hong Kong-based PC manufacturer, Metalware, has shipped a couple of their netbooks to the Philippines. The netbooks retail for only Php15,900 so it's a good deal compared to the branded ones that sell for Php19k to Php24k.
