Globe and Converge share the number 1 spot in Netflix's ISP Speed Index for February in the Philippines. The Netflix ISP Speed Index is a measure of prime time Netflix performance on particular ISPs (internet service providers) around the globe. According to the December 2020 Netflix ISP Speed Index, Converge tops the board with speeds of 3.4 Mbps, followed by Globe and PLDT at 3.2 Mbps, then SKYCable at 3.0, and Royal Cable at 2.6. You don’t need 300 Mbps to watch YouTube; 10–15 Mbps is more than enough for a smooth HD stream (25-50Mbps for 4K Netflix). Consumer advocacy groups have long pointed out that most complaints to ISPs and regulators are about consistency, not speed.
