Microsoft has announced that its older Nokia X devices - the X, X+, and XL, won't get the new X software platform 2.0. The Nokia X software platform 2.0, which is now running in the recently announced Nokia X2, is based on Android 4.3 Jellybean (vs Android 4.1.2 on platform 1.x). The bad news is, Nokia X, X+, and XL users, won't get to enjoy the new features due to hardware limitations. "Because of the necessary hardware upgrades, the Nokia X software platform 2.0 won’t be available on Nokia X, Nokia X+ or Nokia XL. So if you're just planning on getting the Nokia X, better hold off and just wait for the Nokia X2. The Nokia E51 first came out in September last year, it already got my attention. The Nokia E51 is a business/productivity phone so expect good connectivity options -- WiFi and 3.5G or HSDPA (3.6MBps). For a retail price of Php12,300, this unit is a great buy -- probably the cheapest full-featured business phone that went out of Nokia's doors.
