In line with this, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) are studying the possibility of expanding the number coding scheme in anticipation of a higher traffic volume. MMDA officer-in-charge chairman Romando Artes did say however, that an expended number coding scheme will not be immediately imposed should the March 1 switch be approved.
