NVIDIA has unveiled the Jetson TX2, a credit card-sized platform for AI computing, paving the way to powerfully intelligent factory robots, commercial drones and smart cameras for AI cities. The NVIDIA Jetson TX2 is designed for smarter machines and devices that require AI computing to perform tasks like image classification, navigation and speech recognition. The Jetson TX2 module will be available in Q2 for $399 (in quantities of 1,000 or more) from NVIDIA and its distributors around the world. The NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor Developer Kit has been silently launched as their most powerful mini PC to date. The kit is powered by the new Jetson T5000 system-on-module (SoM), based on NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture. The NVIDIA Jetson AGX Thor Developer Kit is priced at USD 3,499 (~PHP 200K), available for pre-order from select distributors in the US. The Tegra K1 powered NVidia Shield tablet is now official and will be priced competitively (starts at $299) and will have an optional wireless controller. Along with the announcement of the upcoming Android KitKat update, which is expected to be seeded on the 2nd of April, NVidia is also giving the Shield a temporary $50 price cut until the end of next month.
