New leaks are giving an early look at the possible chipset and camera features of the upcoming OnePlus 16, even though the phone is still months away from its official launch. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 16 may run on a new processor called the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. Earlier reports suggested the device would use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, but the new leak says OnePlus could instead use the more powerful SM8975 chip. The report also claims the chipset may be paired with LPDDR6 RAM, which is expected to be the next generation of memory for flagship phones. In terms of cameras, the engineering sample of the OnePlus 16 is said to include a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.
