Coursera has partnered with OpenAI to become one of the first apps integrated into ChatGPT, marking the first time an online learning platform is directly embedded in the chatbot. This makes learning content easier to find and transforms everyday chats into interactive learning experiences. According to Coursera, over 800 million people use ChatGPT weekly, with learning among its top use cases. Kickstart Ventures Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Globe Telecom has recently invested $100K dollars or more than Php4M in startup online learning platform Kalibrr. Kalibrr is an online learning platform that is designed to help Filipinos qualify and land jobs in the local business process outsourcing (BPO) industry. Once users complete the online program (some of their graduates completed it in a week), Kalibrr refers them to its partner companies for a job interview. And since it is an online platform, you can attend the program at home or at an internet cafe. The insight was shared during a recent online roundtable, highlighting how search behavior is shifting toward more conversational and AI-assisted interactions.
