Durov was arrested and banned from traveling, charged with enabling illegal transactions on the platform. Durov tried to stay firm with Telegram’s policies concerning free speech and restriction policies. Recently, Durov has said that Telegram is now complying with legal requests. Now, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has confirmed that it will be happening within the month. Durov made it official through his official Telegram channel that "Telegram Premium" will be coming soon after almost a decade since its release. Although no official announcement has been made on the features of Telegram Premium, Durov stated that it will allow premium users to acquire additional features, speed, resources, and be the first in receiving new features. For those who don't wish to pay for Telegram Premium, Durov stated that all users will still be able to access all of the existing features on Telegram for free.
