Petron has recently partnered with PayMaya for a safe and contactless payment of motorists. To encourage motorists to use the QR code payment option, PayMaya is offering PHP 5 cashback per liter when they gas up in any Petron branches for a minimum of PHP 300 (PHP 100 starting on August 15). The Department of Transportation (DOTr) is introducing cashless payments for the Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Metro Rail Transit (MRT). To reiterate, the first phase of the cashless payments rollout will start next month. MRT-3 now accepts cashless payments (GCash, QR Ph) following a pilot test run. For cashless payments, commuters can now simply scan the QR code on ticket booth counters.
