The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has announced that it will pay for the full cost of treatment for COVID-19 cases until April 14, 2020. Moreover, those that have to undergo a mandatory quarantine, but have exhausted their leave credits will be provided financial assistance by DOLE. Pasig City will be giving financial assistance to PUV drivers affected by the community quarantine. Pasig City mayor Vico Sotto tweeted that PUV drivers, including jeepney drivers, tricycle drivers, and UV drivers, will be receiving financial assistance of PHP 3,000. According to Pasig City's estimation, they will be providing 18,500 drivers for a total of PHP 55.5 million. The distribution of financial assistance is scheduled and will begin on Monday, March 30, 2020.
