Google says Gen Z users are now the most active users of AI-powered search, as younger audiences increasingly rely on tools like Gemini for everyday queries. The insight was shared during a recent online roundtable, highlighting how search behavior is shifting toward more conversational and AI-assisted interactions. Data shows that 89% of Gen Z users in the Philippines use Google Search every day, alongside similar figures in Indonesia and Thailand. With the integration of Gemini into Search, users can now interact with AI in a more natural, conversational way. Google said this shift is changing how people use search, from typing keywords to engaging in deeper, back-and-forth queries. In a new report, the company said slowing or temporarily pausing frontier AI development could give governments, researchers, and society more time to establish safety measures and alignment research. These can be verified through the Gemini app, Gemini in Chrome and Google Search.
