According to Cerny, the yet-to-be-named PlayStation console (which is likely to be called the PlayStation 5 if we're going to base it on previous releases) will sport a CPU based on the 3rd-gen AMD Ryzen line that uses a 7nm Zen 2 microarchitecture with 8 cores and 16 threads. The AMD chip also features a custom unit for 3D audio for a more immersive sound. The new PlayStation also boasts faster loading times thanks to a specialized SSD that has a raw bandwidth higher than any SSD available for PCs. The laptop is powered by AMD's Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor with 3D V-Cache technology and can be paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU.
