Today, at the PlayStation's State of Play, the company released yet another game trailer for its remake which shows the gameplay and the high-quality graphics that the technology can offer today. Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that all new PlayStation games released from January 2028 onward will be available only in digital format, ending the production of physical disc editions for future titles. Despite ending disc production for future releases, Sony said players will still be able to purchase new games through the PlayStation Store or participating retailers that sell digital game codes. The move marks the end of an era for PlayStation's physical game format, which has been part of the brand since the launch of the original PlayStation console in December 1994. Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus Monthly Games lineup for July 2026. These three titles available to all PlayStation Plus members from July 7 to August 3. PlayStation Plus members can claim all three games from July 7 through August 3, 2026. Sony has announced that it will gradually shut down the PlayStation Store for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) and PlayStation Vita (PS Vita).
