PLDT has announced that it has partnered with NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), a subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) Corporation, the largest telecommunications company in Japan, to boost its global network infrastructure using the 100Gbps connectivity. The 100Gbps (gigabit-per-second) "ultra-bandwidth" connectivity will be powered by NTT Com’s Tier 1 Global IP backbone, which is expected to help PLDT carry large volumes of global IP traffic.
