PLDT is planning to offer solar power solutions through monthly subscription plans bundled with its internet services, aiming to make solar energy more accessible to households. According to PLDT, early testing of the service showed strong consumer interest in combining internet and solar services into one package. Meanwhile, PLDT Home Head John Palanca said the company wants to expand beyond providing internet services by helping customers improve other parts of their homes. This could mean PLDT might be forced by the NTC to retract this service or restrict it to its local calling area (similar to Globe Duo). Looks like PLDT is aggressively selling its DSL service, now with a residential package of Php999 per month (PLDT Plan 999) at speeds of 384Kbps.
