PLDT was recorded as the fastest in 16 out of 17 regions in the Philippines in terms of average fixed download and upload speeds, according to Ookla Speedtest Intelligence data as of Q1 2021. This is based on the analysis by Ookla of Speedtest Intelligence data average download speeds for top providers in specified regions for Q1 2021. However, PLDT didn't disclose the internet speeds in the regions mentioned. “PLDT has been aggressively expanding our fiber network footprint nationwide, which has been key to the massive and consistent improvement of our internet speeds,” says Butch G. PLDT has started offering faster home internet with speeds of up to 300 Mbps under its PLDT Home Fiber Prepaid service. Microsoft has quietly introduced a new internet speed test feature in Windows 11, giving users a quicker way to check their connection directly from the taskbar.   The feature, which began appearing in recent updates for Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2, adds a “Perform speed test” option in the network menu. Once selected, the option opens a browser-based speed test powered by Ookla, showing key metrics such as ping, download speed, and upload speed.
