Instagram has announced Instagram Plus. It is a new optional subscription that adds premium features focused on personalization, story sharing and audience insights.
The brand says the standard Instagram experience will remain free. Meanwhile, Instagram Plus is designed for users who want additional customization and control.
Among the new features are Story Spotlight which gives stories priority visibility among friends. There are also Super Hearts for animated reactions, Multiple Story Audiences and Story Extend which allows stories to remain visible for up to 48 hours.
Subscribers also gain access to Story Preview, Story Rewatch Insights and Search Viewer List. It offers more information about how stories are viewed and engaged with.
Instagram Plus includes custom app icons, custom bio fonts, support for up to six pinned posts and the ability to post directly to a profile or highlights without appearing in friends’ feeds.
Instagram Plus being rolled out worldwide. Meta promises additional features in the coming months.
